QA Manager will assess software quality through manual and automated testing and will be responsible for finding and documenting any bugs or unmet requirements. This role will be responsible for working with and providing ideas to both Project Managers and Developers. This role will oversee our development to ensure production issues are handled and escalated properly. Our companies work fast and lean and the ideal candidate will be able to jump in and manage many facets of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Review and refine project and software requirements
- Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues
- Devise, conduct, and document feature and regression test plans
- Work with internal and external teams to coordinate and communicate all releases
- Devise and conduct UAT sessions with internal and external users
- Devise and conduct demos with internal and external users
- Manage, monitor, and triage issues reported to the development help desk
- Maintains test environments that mimic our production systems
- Maintains and updates test cases
- Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
- Appraise customers’ requirements and make sure they are satisfied
- Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action
- Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
Skills/Experience
- 10+ years experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
- Experience in project management and QA methodology
- Capable of translating requirements into real world test cases
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Adept at documenting reproduction scenarios
- Ability to quickly understand and comprehend new features/requirements
- Ability to understand and represent the end user
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
